About Us
Northvale Preschool is a nonprofit early childhood center that has proudly served families since 1979. For more than 45 years, we’ve offered a caring, high-quality preschool experience focused on nurturing each child’s growth and development.
We are a small school by design, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every child is known and supported. With just two classrooms, limited enrollment, and a dedicated staff, we’re able to provide hands-on, personalized attention to every student. Our facility includes an outdoor playground, a large indoor playroom, and a “bouncy room” for active gross motor play. Conveniently located above the Northvale Public Library, our students also benefit from regular visits to story time, special library programs, and easy access to books.
Our curriculum is age-appropriate, structured, and rooted in kindness. We focus on developing early learning skills such as letter and sound recognition, number identification, fine and gross motor development, and social-emotional growth. We also offer enrichment programs throughout the year to keep students curious and engaged. We aim to make the transition from preschool to kindergarten seamless by aligning our approach with local public school programs whenever possible.
At Northvale Preschool, children don’t just learn—they grow, connect, and thrive in a joyful, supportive environment. We’re proud to offer a meaningful first school experience for both children and their families.
