About Us

Diverse Kindergarten

Northvale Preschool is a nonprofit established in 1979 and over 40 years later, continues to provide a caring and quality early education to young learners.  It’s purpose is to provide a safe and happy environment where young children may develop readiness skills and enjoy interpersonal relationships with their peers.

Our school is small in size allowing us to cultivate an intimate and personal relationship with students and their families.  Limited class sizes create an atmosphere where our students can receive hands-on, individualized instruction, grow socially, and be creative.

At Northvale Preschool, students are exposed to age appropriate content.  Our curriculum is focused on establishing a structured and caring environment where children are treated as unique and special and develop a positive self-image and attitude toward others.   We work to develop learning behaviors, cultivate fine and gross-motor skills, promote letter and sound recognition, introduce number identification and counting, and support social skills.  We also offer students on-going enrichment programs.

Whenever possible, we design our class structure and curriculum to match the programs in place at the public kindergartens in the surrounding towns.  We work diligently to create a smooth transition from Northvale Preschool to the wherever the next step in your child's education takes them!

Our facility includes two classrooms, an outside playground, a large playroom, as well as a "bouncy room" for gross motor play indoors.  We are also conveniently located above the Northvale Public Library, giving us easy access to books, specials programs, and story times!
